Hi, I’m Tammy, founder of Flos Motherhood and creator of The Modern Mum Method — a lifestyle approach built for modern, busy mums who are ready to slow down, heal their bodies, and actually enjoy motherhood again.
When I had my first son, George, four years ago, I thought I was doing everything I was “supposed” to do.
I kept pushing the limits.
I said yes to everything.
I wore being “busy” and my exhaustion like a badge of honour — and I put it in the “trying to be a good mum, wife and business owner file.”
But the truth?
I was completely running on empty.
My hormones were all over the place, I couldn’t switch off, and I spent most days in a constant state of fight or flight — trying to be everything for everyone and I was an anxious mess.
Modern motherhood had swallowed me whole, and I didn’t even realise how much it was costing me — my health, my joy, my family and most importantly it was stealing time. Precious time with my son that I could never get back, all because there is no manual on how mums in this modern era are meant to “do it all” an thrive rather than just survive…
This realisation came one Christmas when I had been running on empty for so long that I was completely burnt out, I got so sick and missed Christmas with my family. As devastating as this was it shifted something in me.
I finally realised that being a present, loving mum didn’t mean losing my old self. It meant re-discovering who I am now in this new season that is motherhood. I needed to get back to basics and revisit my values, rebuild my lifestyle — slowly, intentionally — from the inside out.
That’s how the Modern Mum Method was born.
It’s not another strict routine or all-or-nothing fitness plan.
It’s a roadmap — built around 6 core pillars (mindset, movement, nutrition, rhythms, environment, and self-connection) — designed to help modern mums reclaim their energy, confidence, and calm through small, powerful daily habits.
Now, as a mum of two boys (and navigating postpartum again with my newest little one), I can tell you this:
Everything feels different this time. I am lighter, happier and genuinely enjoying and embracing this season even though it is 10x busier than round one…
I’m calm. I’m grounded. I’m healthy. I’m connected.
And I finally feel free in motherhood.
My mission is to help you feel all of this too.
Through my blog, podcast, digital products, and community — I want to share and walk step by step through how to move from survival mode to thriving, without burning out or giving up everything that matters most.
Because you deserve to love your body, your life, and your motherhood journey — all at the same time.
